I guess it's that time of year again. We started on Monday. Last week G jr was begging to start early. It was really sweet. I wonder how long that will last. We've been doing half days this week since some of the curriculum that I ordered won't be here until tomorrow. I'm feeling a little disoriented and unprepared because I haven't gotten my planner yet!!! Now, tell me, what's a planner to do without a planner? It's pure chaos I tell ya. Sheesh.
The kids are good sports anyway. They just roll with the punches. I guess they have to with Tommi "helping" me teach. That little girl is like a tornado, Whistling Pete and volcano all in one. She's kinda like a box of chocolates...you never know whatcha gonna ge-et.
I tried to find their pictures from last year, you know to compare and all. We moms like to do that. The kids never really look that different to anyone else but we sit around in awe at how much growth we can see in them. Funny.
Anyway, G jr had on a different shirt when he came out for our first day of school. He had gotten water on it though from brushing his teeth. When I took the picture you could totally see the water marks so he had to change it. But then he never really got a good smile in the pics we took with the new shirt on. And just so you know, I wasn't the one worried about how his smile looked. So I told him we could take some more after school, because we really needed to get started and not be taking pictures all morning. Well we never got the chance to do pictures again. So, here's the disclaimer - because I know you're all thinking about it - G jr has a much better smile than what is portrayed in his picture. He'll feel better knowing I told you. I think we'll all sleep better tonight knowing that, don't you?

yay for school! We started on Tuesday (no photos though) and it's been our most hellish/chaotic week in months. Imagine that...
But it's good to be back in the routine of it, EVEN IF it isn't quite a routine yet.
We should plan an after school play day soon!
