Reading...as good as I remember it

My friend, Misty, happened to notice in my last post (the one where I enjoyed being peed on by my dog) that I have been reading a book. Since the only books I read anymore are the Bible and kids books, this is an oddity. I actually love to read. I always have. But I decided, unknowingly really, that reading was not a priority for me anymore. So it's something I've really given up, you know, if the laundry and dishes want to get done. Oh, and that whole spending time with my family shtuff.

Recently I came across this book and decided I was going to indulge. I'm only about 3/4 of the way through it but I've really been inspired. It's the story of Rachel Scott who was killed in the Columbine shootings. The depth and insight of this girl is amazing to me. I've been humbled by the faith of a 17 year old. It's challenged me to take a closer look at my walk with the Lord.

Okay, so that was the extent of my book review. Misty definitely does a better job of it (reviews) than I do. *Sigh* All in all, it's been a good, yet humbling, read.

I was able to check it out from the library but it's also pretty cheap on Amazon (don't you just love Amazon!?).

i loved that book. I read it some time ago and it really moved me. Interestingly enough, I am reading a book by my favorite author ABOUT the columbine shooting. Even odder yet, we rented a movie the other night which (we didn't know) was about a school shooting which was similar to Columbine. Now, I see that you are reading Rachel Scott's story... Bizarre...
