Okay, I realized it's time to move past the scary brain post. I have so much to say and yet nothing all at the same time, so here are some random things floating around in my head and going on around our house.
G sr is up at a youth retreat. Not as a youth. They're snowboarding today. He just called me from the lift and it sounds like things are going great. I'll get all the details (I hope!) when he gets home tomorrow.
The girls got bunk beds this week. This is exciting business. That means Tommi gets to be in a big girl bed and Kmac gets to have some private space way up there by the ceiling. We're going to put a shelf up there for her to keep her books, a light and her little alarm clock on. Tommi doesn't like looking at the underside of Kmac's bed though so I think we'll go get her a poster today to hang up there so she has something better to look at. It's nice for them to have more space in their tiny little bedroom now.
(camera is still on the fritz)
A couple of weeks ago Tommi ran out of Pull-ups and I decided that I didn't want to buy anymore. Ever. So I put her in princess panties and that was the end of that. She had actually potty trained herself over the summer, but then she decided she was too lazy to go to all that trouble. It was funny that she decided the day we left for church camp that she wanted to go potty in the toilet. That may sound great, but it wasn't. And I knew it wasn't going to be. She actually only wet twice the whole weekend and that's when she was sleeping. The problem was that she kept wanting to go and the only bathroom was in the lodge, which was okay if we were actually in the lodge but otherwise we had to make a run for it. Anyway, we're done with it now and that's all I care about. We're off to buy more panties today. She'll be excited.
Since my manly man is away with a bunch of teenagers this weekend, I'm having some friends over tonight. I really wanted to make some very yummy, unhealthy, treats but my friend (one that's coming over) told me yesterday how good she was doing with her weight loss and now I feel guilty. So I'm off to the store to get non-unhealthy food. Dang!
