Bookcase - before and after

So, here is the bookcase that I refinished. I bought it for $10 at a yard sale (wahoo!). I primed it first because I didn't think the paint would stick to it. Then I decided to spray paint it, so I probably didn't need to prime it. Oh well, no harm done.

I wanted to put some cool wrapping paper on the back piece but I wasn't able to find any that I liked. So I had to come up with something different. I decided to go with scrapbooking paper. Here is the backing before I reattached it to the bookcase.

There are 2 papers with birds on them. The top right hand corner, and the white paper in the middle. I showed you them in the last post.

Here it is put together. Sorry for the dark picture.

Here it is completely finished. With all my junk on it.

Charlie is the guy sitting on the top. Kmac made him for my birthday. He has a smiley face on one side and an angry/sad face on the other. I'm supposed to set out whichever side goes with my mood for the day. I guess the kids wanted a little forewarning.

She also made me the pillow on the 4th shelf. Sweet girl.
