Last Thursday and Friday (morning and afternoon) were just perfectly awful days. I won't bore you with details but it involved that little house we're trying to buy that we were supposed to close on and move into over the weekend.
After a mid afternoon call on Friday that put me in tears, G sr said, "Let's get out of here." Road trip. So we piled into the soccer mom minivan and took off. For Salt Lake. Now it's not a cross country trip from here but it's not a little jaunt either. The kids and I had never been there so, what the heck. We were able to get in late Friday night and got back home late tonight.
Oh. My. Goodness. We had such a good time. Other than a few minor mishaps it was a perfectly wonderful weekend. It was just what we needed.
Two of our favorite joints to visit was the planetarium and the aquarium. I only wish we lived closer so we could go back...sooner rather than later. I'll try to get some pictures up and share more of our delicious weekend right after I get a full nights sleep, which is what I managed not to get all weekend.

you had seriously NEVER been to SLC? WOW! How is that possible? I love SLC!
Once you have a house (which will happen...) you will have to go back and go to IKEA. In fact, i will sacrifice myself to go with you... If you NEED someone, that is. :) It's such a wonderful (and affordable) store!
I am so very sorry to "hear" "not hear" about the house ;) We will be praying that God moves stuff along... and HOW FUN is a road trip to salt lake... We did that over a weekend before i was pregnant with Cora, but we did the sight seeing/ temple not so seeing and zoo thing. The aquarium and the planetarium sounds great.. I think that is going to be our next outing..... Glad you guys had a great time.... See you this week.
