The sun'll come out...

Kmac and I are in a mother daughter book club. How sweet is that, right? Honestly though, when I was first asked if I wanted to join I thought, "Gee, how fun can that be?" Or maybe something along those lines. I might be putting it a little gentler on here so you don't think I'm a total butthead. But I guess I am kind of a butthead. You see, it was one of my very good friends that is in charge of it and kept asking me if we'd like to join. So I'm totally implying that this good friend of mine was going to be in charge of some boring monthly snore fest. But, the idea grew on me a little bit even though I was still a little reluctant to be a part of a group of young ladies and some (a-hem) slightly older than that ladies sitting around talking about books.

Okay, so that's totally what I get for thinking...and applying my dorky preconceived notions and prejudices. We love our little book club. It has been simply delightful (I like saying simply delightful). Kmac and I just have the funnest little time together. Seriously, you'd think I was like 10. I may even let out a random giggle, on occasion, maybe. Anyway, we bond, and I love it.

Last week instead of our usual meeting we had a Christmas party. We went out to a great restaurant and the girls had an ornament exchange. Then we went to see a play. Annie. It was priceless. Especially since Annie was Asian. I'm not sure but I think the red hair was a wig. Hmmm.

Me and my girl. I heart her.

Coloring at the restaurant. I totally would have colored too if they had a picture of anything other than SpongeBob. Am I the only one who hates that guy?

At the civic center before the play.

I love this picture.

All of the girls, all dolled up. Very purdy girls.

Silly faces. I love how the little gal in front made such a sweet little face while the others all turned into various disfigured animals.

A widdle picture. But...it's in focus...and that's what matters.

A high quality photo from my high quality camera. I'm so glad it decided to focus in on our legs, you know, as opposed to our faces.
Oh, and by the way, I may have implied that my good friend was going to be in charge of the *exciting* book club but I never really believed that she could pull off anything less than stellar. That's why we joined. Well, among other reasons. Point being, my friend is, and continues to be...amazing.
