You couldn't pay me to do this again

Man, selling your home is stressful. Especially when you're trying to fix up an older house. We decided we won't be doing it again any time soon. And if we even mention it, just give us a little donkey kick to the head, wouldja?

Of coarse we were only supposed to be in our little starter home here for a few years and it's been over 10. Yikes. With that track record we might just be in our new home for the rest of our lives.

Okay, so a few more details. We have picked out a home that we'd like to buy. It's actually in our same neighborhood, just at the other side of it. It is the whole reason that we even started this whole moving thing. I had seen it on the market a while ago but it was way out of our price range. Then I happened to drive by it a couple of weeks ago, which I don't normally do, and see that it was still for sale and they had lowered the price considerably. So we went in to see it and from that day on we started working towards getting it.

As long as everything goes okay on Sunday with the inspection, the people that want to buy our house will lift the contingency so we can consider it a done deal. Or at least as close as you can get before you sign papers. On Tuesday, God willing, we will put in an offer on the house that we want. I'm pretty confident they will accept since it's been on the market for so long and we're not going to ask for much at all.

We will have to be out of here by the 15th of May. The owner of the house that we want said they could be out by the 15th also. We just need to find out if our lender can get it all done in that amount of time. We're praying. We don't want to have to rent a storage unit for a week or two.

That's it for now.
